I just walked across the street to the shopping center containing this restaurant and am so glad I did. It was a great find. The menu has plenty of options, including appetizers, salads, sandwiches, wraps, entrees, and dessert. I opted for the gyro platter. It came with plenty of gyro meat, tzicki sauce, a pita, Greek salad, and fries. The platter was delicious as well as plentiful. I highly recommend it. The service was friendly and quick. The ambiance was also very nice. They have indoor, outdoor, and bar seating.
First time dining here. We were pleasantly surprised at the overall experience. We split one of the bigger combos, seeing it was so large. Also ordered a side salad. The service was excellent. The young waitress didn't know a ton about the different combo options but was very friendly and helpful. The dinning room was quiet and suitable for a very nice evening relaxing while you dine. That's a plus after a busy week. The food was actually one of the best Greek meals we've ever had. We were impressed. The steak was very tender and juicy. The chicken was also tender and flavorful. We couldn't ask for more. We will certainly make a point to come back.
Starting with lemon soup that didn't taste like much we should have known this was not going to be good! The Greek chicken sandwich tasted like curry and the tzatziki sauce was more like tartar sauce with mayonnaise consistency. The chicken Parmigiana sub was totally bland and the portions were meager! Our server tried really hard to do well but in general it wasn't a pleasant experience.
I came here for dinner while in town for business. I was treated and seated immediately on arrival. After a brief deliberation and discussion with the server, I settled on the Athenian Combination Platter sauteed chicken and beef over hummus with greek salad and pita bread. I loved the Greek salad! I am not typically a fan of mixed greens but the dressing and large amount of feta had me clean my bowl. The chicken was super tender and the beef was deliciously seasoned. I ate every bit of the protein and about half of the hummus. The pita was the only thing that was average about the whole meal. Not bad but in comparison was slightly disappointing. The platter could easily have been shared especially if you add another salad and pita. I decided to try the Greek Fingers to close out the meal and they were as good as advertised by the server. Not sure what they may be called elsewhere but it was similar but much better than baklava. I highly recommend if you are in the area and will definitely keep in mind for future trips myself even though there are so many options nearby.
So the food was pretty good. The meat was cut a little thick, so I don't think they cut it off the broiler themselves. The service on the other hand was almost nonexistent. I sat out front and they just left me there, but it was enjoyable outside as the temps were perfect for a summers evening in Greenville.
