Chicken salad sandwich was premade and refrigerated. So the bread was soggy. Texture awful. I had the peppered ham sandwich. Some type of finely blended potted meat. Mushy texture. Bland taste. Prices are great. But surprising for Greenville. Actually the good reviews are surprising. So we will not give less than 3 in hopes it was a bad day only. Look at my reviews. I do not give low reviews and don’t want to. But guys…. It was not good. My wife has never walked away from food in her life because she is too nice. She did this time. Don’t refrigerate your sandwiches in advance. That’s cutting a corner that will cost you business. Make them fresh even if you have to increase the price.
Need more of these around, can't find better pricing. Like being back in the old days.
The sandwiches just aren't as good since they changed everything a few years ago, and it's expensive for a sandwich shop.
First time to actually stop in . I've passed it a thousand times. I had the hot dog all the way, and an egg salad sandwich with their 100-year-old recipe on wheat, toasted... While it was pretty tasty, the inconvenience of stopping and actually going in a place to order, and stand in line to get food is not something I do a lot at lunch time. They were not that crowded, was only five people ahead of me in line for a to go order. It took about 15 minutes. I ate in the car, hoping to save a little time.... The food was good. I don't know if I will be rushing to go back, but at least I can say I tried it! I should have tried their premium sandwiches, and I suggest you do if you go there, and let me know...
I came into the city of Columbia SC with little time between arrival and my next presentation. I needed to bring lunch for about 10 people. Pizza is always easy but at 10:30am with an 11:30am training time it wasn’t as easy as it sounds. The pizza places I past on the way weren’t open at 10:30am and at 11:00am little time left to order, make, and be on time. Then I saw the Duke Sandwich Company. They were very helpful is taking and suggesting a typical office party order and I had ten lunches in under 5 minutes! Thanks Duke Sandwich Company!
