Not a lot of choice on the pasta menu (3 tagliatelle dishes and quite a few gnocchi.) On the menu there were also a selection of pizzas, and a limited number of meat dishes. The dish of the day was an Italian salad. The Bardelino rosé wine was pretty nondescript, and certainly not worth 16€ for a 50 cl carafe. We chose one tagliatelle with seafood, which was fine, and one tagliatelle with salmon, which wasn't great - the tagliatelle was covered with a pink fish-flavoured sauce, and there were some very small flakes of salmon. The bill came to 47€, which seemed a lot for 2 pasta dishes, 2 coffees, and a 1/2 litre carafe of rosé.On the plus side, service was good, and we were served rapidly. We were able to have our lunch outside, where tables were situated in a quiet, shady back alley behind the church. By the way, the address is 1 rue Blanc Fontaine, not Place Victor Hugo as indicated above.I don't think we'll return to this restaurant, maybe next time we try the Creperie Blanc Fontaine which is just opposite.
Nice pizza and pasta, best tiramisu in Grenoble. Pastas are rather heavy, lot of oil. Service is good, so is atmosphere.
We did not manage to place our order until 40 minutes after arriving, and got our food another half-hour later. It did not seem a particularly busy night either, with many empty tables -- and many of the other customers also waiting to order. However when the food did finally come it was excellent. Most of us had pizzas, the others pasta, and all was very good. The wine was only so-so however, although a good match to the food.
. Nous n'y retournerons plus.
