Three of us stopped in for lunch on a Friday afternoon. We were seated in a back room (the restaurant is an old house) and had privacy, which was nice. Our server came to the table quickly and got our drink orders. We purused the menu and made our selections. Our drinks were replenished before they reached the bottom, and our food came out quickly. I got the Cajun Chicken sandwich, which was just the right size, and nicely flavored. My wife got the Salmon BLP, which was OK, but she felt a bit oversauced which took away from some of the other toppings. Our dining companion got the Prime and Crown, which was a lunch special that day. He really enjoyed the meat combo and said the cheese and aioli were a good compliment. Fries are the coated variety, and they were hot and crunchy. Our server Teri was fantastic. Cheery, highly efficient, and very pleasant. All in all we enjoyed the experience and would go back!
Oh my, oh my, oh my!!! This unassuming little spot was the find of the year. We were in the area last night and looking for a place to have dinner. We drove past and my partner said someone had mentioned The Radish was a good spot. (That was an understatement! The decor is charming, warm, and inviting. The staff was very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. For dinner we decided to share an appetizer along with an entree. The crab cakes were phenomenal!!!! I'm relieved they served us an even number. We would have been arm wrestling over an odd one left! For our main dish we shared a deliciously tangy chicken/spinach pasta in a creamy lemon sauce. Yum!!! I would be remiss if I didn't mention the great veggies and the dinner rolls. The squash medley was perfect with the bits of asparagus and all was done al dente. The rolls were served with a yummy cinnamon butter. We will be telling everyone about The Radish!!!
Always wanted to try this restaurant. So we did. We had a party of five. No reservation. They accommodated our party. Interior of restaurant is remodeled. It's fine. Most seating is booth seating. We had two tables put together. We ordered steaks. Filet Mignon, New York Strip, Steak Deburgo. My niece ordered seafood pasta Alfredo. Steaks were very good quality and served perfectly. Pasta dish was excellent. Sides were Brussels sprouts and garlic mashed potatoes. Both very good. Prices are a little steep, but that's not out of line for the quality. Wine list was poor. Woodbridge wine. We brought our own. Corkage fees are $15 per bottle. Friendly staff. We'll go back.
The Radish was really good! We were visiting family in the Grimes area and had heard from them that the radish was family owned and good food. So we decided to try it for dinner. The space was nice and large with tables fitting several different sizes. We had three people and ordered an appetizer and two entrees. They have a split fee if you want to split an entree with two people but our waiter was nice and didn't charge us the fee since we also ordered the appetizer. We ordered the crab cakes to start and they were good. They were on the more acidic side because they had lemon and balsamic on them. I like acidity but if you didn't you probably wouldn't like them as much. We then ordered the steak special and the canonneli pasta dish. I loved the steak! It was cooked perfectly and really really tender. It was also a huge piece of steak for a great price! The pasta was also rlly good! I also liked how you could pick several sides with the dishes so the vegetables we picked were all really good! Overall, it was a great experience!
