I agree with Penny, I was the co worker, and best teacher establishment, they do not rest their black patrons well and this was out first time going in there, just a random place to get lunch on our break however I did research in the owner and he is a racist man. I heard him making remarks about how black ppl don’t want to work and other crazy “ideas” of his. He does not hire black ppl since he doesn’t want them in his crumb bum restaurant. I will bring this notice to the city of Grosse Pointe. Very discriminatory with patrons, we were in there for almost 2hrs, all he does is sit at the bar, drink, and talk to his friends about the police and how bad Detroit is. Black ppl should not support this place in no form. Real bad negative vibes and energies. Will be reported.Edit: found out his dad quit dpd because of black ppl and moved out, and was a racial antagonist.Jim does real estate and doesn’t cater to African Americans in that sector either
Very racist. They do not like neither want black ppl in this establishment. Very cold and distant, food was sloppy and undercooked,(so we would never return) the guy that owns the bar is a mean racist, but it’s a whites only so no one will care. Place is dump, a coworker and I stopped by for some lunch just nasty and rude service, if you are black/ African American do not patronize because they will show you that they don’t want you there. I seen the tall guy also scratch his behind before serving us our food. If you are black do not and I repeat, do not support this place.Edit: and look at how the owner replies to the racist remarks without apologizing, disgusting
Nice local tavern. Lots of hockey memorabilia. Good food!
If someone asked me what bar Id like to establish regular status at- it would be this bar. Wish I could get there more often. Go
