Had 3 dishes and felt they were all well done! The drinks were awesome and super affordable. The kids had Italian soda and it is truly so good!!! The bad it's very very dated inside, fresh coat of paint would be good but even everything else is just very tired. Didn't like that they don't take reservations. We were driving from Telluride to Crested Butte and I called to ask if they were busy and they said no and we should be okay to come in for dinner. 45 minutes later we got there, there were no tables left. There were only 2 waiters for the entire place and it took 5 minutes for a lady to speak to us. She wasn't super nice but nevertheleess we got a table 20 minutes after arriving. Would I go back, I am on the fence. Think food is important but overall it was lacking as a fantastic experience that I had hoped it would be.
Updating this, because I'm slightly embarrassed that my initial review was only 4 stars. This has, over the last decade, become one of my favorite restaurants in the whole darned State! I've eaten here so many times, and I've worked through nearly the whole menu always challenging myself to something new and I've never once been disappointed, and very often surprised at loving something I might not have normally tried. The staff have always been kind and attentive to a fault. The owners have been so open and kind (both the original owners AND the new owners) that I just have to root for them. I've introduced so many friends to this place who now ALSO love it and make it a stop on trips from Denver to Lake City, Crested Butte, the San Juans, etc. that I get messages telling me where they are to make me jealous. I can't wait to get back here next, and the time after that!
Decent food, with a few ingredient stars that appear in almost every dish (pickled onions and a mildly spicy aioli, which makes several dishes taste the same). Have tried the nachos and burgers which are pretty good. Felt like a snack recently, so asked if we could order a side of fries. $11. We like to support local restaurants but $11 for a side order of fries felt really steep, even with price increases in the last year.
We had a great experience for our first time here. Pam’s a great waitress!
Amazed at all the good reviews. Tried the bulgogi sandwich- edible but hardly. Tried the pork belly noodles and sesame chicken: dog food. The vegetables were exhumed from king tuts tomb, withered, mushy and smelly. The chicken wasn't particularly tasty, the sesame sauce disgusting (how? It's sesame chicken, everyone gets that down) and the pork belly rubbery and bland. Super hipster spot with big city prices that delivers sub- gas station quality food. With all that said, it's better on the way in than on the way out, spent a solid part of my evening in the bathroom trying to part with this culinary catastrophe. Service was good tho.
