Let's talk about Nitty Gritty restaurant. Firstly, my Rogan Josh lacked spices and tasted bland. Secondly, the dish I ordered was supposed to be mild but turned out to be extremely spicy, more like a Vindaloo. And to top it off, I found a long dark hair in my food. Overall, I will not be dining here again and suggest cooking your own curry instead.
I visited Bangor for the first time on a Friday night and decided to try out this halal takeaway chip and spice kitchen. The surrounding pubs and restaurants in this university town were bustling with activity. The restaurant itself was small, clean, and the staff were polite and welcoming. They had a wide selection of dishes to choose from, including kebabs, grilled items, tandoori specialties, curries, burgers, and pizzas. They are open 7 days a week from 11:30 a.m. to midnight and offer free delivery. However, parking near the restaurant is not ideal as it is located on a narrow street. I ordered a 9" chicken mushroom pizza which was delicious and only cost £5. Overall, a great spot for a quick and tasty meal. For more information, you can contact them at 01248 345799.
Chips were below average, some underboiled and some were burned. There are a variety of curry sauce in offer that is great, but it is also very expensive for what it is, so lost it to value ratio. We haven't been back since my first visit. Such a shame as this was one of the best chippys in Bangor.
Decided on the Indian Cuisine Naan, Pops, Jalfrezi, Mushroom rice etc for myself and 3 family members all excellent couldn't fault it even had a free bottle of coke! Oredered thru Hungry House and free delivery! Will most defoo try other Cuisine's too..
