Hidden Cave Bistro - Hackney

We absolutely love the hidden cave and have become regulars. The menu is extensive, with all dishes made from fresh ingredients, well-prepared and reasonably priced. Our favorite dishes include the mussels, baked eggplant and warm chicken salad. They also offer delicious fresh juices, with the added bonus of seeing a whole pineapple being prepared and chopped for your drink. What sets this place apart is the excellent and friendly service. It is a family-owned restaurant that goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome and at ease. They are very accommodating for families with high chairs and smaller portion sizes available for kids. Don't let the decor deter you (lots of wood cladding and hand-painted murals), just focus on the menu that is consistently amazing, along with the super friendly staff.

I absolutely adore this restaurant and now visit almost every week! The creamy sea bass is absolutely fantastic, as are the Sunday lunches they serve on Sundays. The service is friendly and exceptional, and I have never had a bad meal here.

Lunch special is a great value to eat too much for 1 person! I recommend the hummus, very fresh and tasty
