Tacos Carlitos - Hagerstown

Definitely the best tacos in the Hagerstown area, no doubt about it. Best Mexican restaurant in town, probably even the best in all neighhboring towns as well! The staff is friendly, the food is fantastic, from tacos to quesadillas, to enchiladas, churros, and one of my favorite LOTES con LOCA!! There’s so much more than just what I listed, that’s just my favorite items to orders. Overall great place to grab a bite if you enjoy Mexican food, my only downside for this place is that they have no tamales lol

Swung by the outlets after a long day on the water and wasn't expecting much from the food court. When I saw the menu, plus the lady stirring 20 gallons of chiccharonnes with a paddle, I knew I had found my spot. We made small talk and were greeted and served by two of the sweetest women I've ever encountered as strangers. I was warned about the spiciness of my choice and said I was down for it...honestly it wasn't even spicy but it was mind-blowingly delicious. We have rice and beans often enough and like to think I'm pretty cultured, but I've never had ANYTHING like these rice and beans. All the food was magnificent. The shrimp were perfect, not overcooked in the least. My torta was fabulous. Whatever salted jalapeno they served me changed my life. My agua de Jamaica was the best I've ever had...and we make it at home! The only BAD part about the experience is that I live too far away to eat it multiple times a week. I've eaten Latin food all over this country and never had an experience like today. She even gave me a complimentary sampling of the chiccharonnes while they were still hot. I'll be back in a couple weeks and I know EXACTLY where I'm stopping.

The selection here is unrivaled. You will not find a menu like this in any Mexican restaurant in the area. This is true street style Mexican food. The menu is expansive, especially coming from a food court vendor. Ingredients such as goat, tripe, and beef tongue are a rare treat to find on a menu. They also have more familiar items for those less adventurous such as tortas, nachos, fajitas, and any kind of taco you could want. I would highly recommend coming out here just to eat even if you are not shopping.

Tacos Carlitos has the. Best. Tacos. I haven’t found any better on the east coast. My favorite are the carnitas, but the beef tongue and goat are very good also. I try to get there as much as possible and am so excited to visit them at the Valley Mall as well! We recently hired Tacos Carlitos to come out to cater my husband’s 40th birthday party. I couldn’t have chosen more wisely. Armando and his staff were quick, friendly, provided wonderful service and their spread is beautiful. The food of course was to die for. Every single person at the party raved about it and I got tons of compliments on my choice of caterer. And better yet I didn’t have to worry about a thing when it came to the food! We will definitely be using them again in the near future.

They will ruin Mexican food from other restaurants for you because theirs is the best. And, they're in a food court. Nobody has food that good in a food court. I absolutely love this place!
