This year the slippers were all L, not a good look for RC. The furniture in the rooms needs some major refurbish. The room service menu needs to be updated and upgraded, same for years. The service is excellent, especially the two young gentlemen at the front desk. The property is amazing, love the bagpiper every night.
Over the years had visited this hotel for meetings, special lunches and dinners. Today I pulled in only to find that the garage (where I had always parked before) was off limits and car had to be handled by the valet for $50! We went into the hotel and decided (because of weather) not to eat outdoors on the terrace. So we booked a lunch in the dining room. Subsequently we looked at the menu. The prices were obscene. We checked the dining room next door which was serving brunch at a price of $200 per person! We decided to leave and, thankfully, the cashier at the driveway waived the $50 charge. This hotel has a fancy name, but the location is NOT Beverly Hills. Oh, the staff was pleasant, but ...
I love everything about this place. The food is fabulous. The restaurant and staff is absolutely great. Not just at there jobs but good conversationalist. I love the the experience but I kind like to know the person.I have been there several times on special occasions with my lovely wife and budding doctor daughter.Rooms: You want the rooms that face the ocean or better yet, the fire pits on a blustery night.Food drinks: Food is fabulous.
Charming hotel with a spa, golf course, and a couple of restaurants, located by the ocean. The rooms are clean and well maintained but a bit older (from the hotel staff I learned that there will be some renovation in winter 2023). I loved the patio with the fire pit just to relax, breathe some ocean air, and enjoy in room dining (which was delicious). The staff members are attentive and friendly. The spa has limited availability if you’re booking last minute but the services are good. The hotel provided some bath salts as a welcome gift for my Marriott Bonvoy Gold membership but each time I stayed, my room was upgraded and my checkout time was never extended to 2 pm (even during a mid-week, off-season stay when the hotel was not busy). In room dining options were pretty good and the food was tasty. Beautiful views from the hotel can be enjoyed on sunny days. However, there’s a frequent overcast, even during summer. The piper walking around the property in the evening playing music is quite special and a nice touch. Golf players and families coming here for the day seem to enjoy this place as well. Overall, I’d recommend this place and stay here again.
Couldn’t find much to do in HMB but I suppose I could have tried harder! Coast is beautiful and the beach access from the hotel is cool. Paid extra for the club/lounge access and that was convenient. I still don’t know if I’d return all the way from the east coast though.Rooms: 5/5
