Venus Donair - Halifax

Located in the Halifax shopping centre, this restaurant is a great option for those seeking a quick and tasty meal that isn't from one of the many chain restaurants in the area.

The chicken shawarma at this restaurant is the best dish to order. I highly recommend getting it with extra garlic sauce.

There is no end of competitors in all price ranges in this food mecca of eastern Canada, and also quite an array of Middle Eastern options in the city that considers itself the Donair center of Canada, but if you happen to find yourself at the food court at the Halifax Shopping Center, why don't you turn away from the usual options and instead try Venus Donair. There is quite a range of food on offer, including fish n chips and grilled chicken on the same kind of spit on which donair meat is cooked, but a good Mediterranean option is the Donair and Greek Salad Wrap, available in two sizes. It is a flavorful combination of donair meat and sauce, with a Greek salad with feta cheese and dressing. Plate meals are also available for a higher price, but the wraps are good value for the money. Shawarma and Falafel meals are also available, as well as Lebanese side dishes including grape leaf rolls, tahini, humus etc.

This restaurant is absolutely terrible.
