The Jambalaya Shoppe - Hammond

Jambalaya was alright— it just tastes like something you get from a premade box at Walmart though. Seafood gumbo was egregious and thinking about it makes me sick. Nothing had flavor. I am writing this review because I am currently very sick with food poisoning after eating there earlier today. The best Cajun food is made at home and doesn’t give you horrible stomach cramps.

The service is great, the atmosphere was fantastic but the jambalaya's rice was a little too sticky and dry for my taste. Their gumbo is authentic and was absolutely delicious as well as the red beans. Even enjoyed the mashed potato salad.

The service was great however I was not impressed with the taste of the jambalaya. I ended up picking out the meat and throwing the rest away.

The staff here was very welcoming, but buffet didn't have many options. It was very clean as well.

Ordered and waited 40 minutes to be told they were out of items. Poor customer service. Never again
