We had a 7:30 reservation on a special night for us during on Friday night during the busy Christmas parade weekend. Our server was wonderfully attentive and provided great service throughout. For starters we shared the champagne mussels, they were sweet and the broth was soooo good. For our entrees, I had the 7oz filet medium rare which was cooked perfectly and tasted just as good as it looked paired with the criminology mushroom and broccolini. My fiancé had the pineapple glazed salmon, unfortunately it was a bit over cooked and thus drier than we would have liked. We shared a nice bottle of wine that was reasonably priced. We shared two desserts, an apple spice crème brûlée and the peach cobbler, both were superb and we gobbled them up until there was nothing left. All in all we both thought for our special night that our experience was a positive one.
Had a Friday night reservation and upon arrival at 630PM noted the restaurant was not really busy. I know staffing is an ongoing issue for many restaurants in the area. We started off with a glass of wine and a drink. The drink was much larger than most other places in town. Had the clam chowder that was filled with clams but a bit salty. We both had the burgers that were OK but expected a bit more as not as tasty given the facility/cost. Had the truffle fries and they were excellent! Service was very attentive and pleasant. No background music so place was oddly quiet.
We dined at Rudi's this evening, our server, Natasha was lovely. We loved the ambiance. Cocktails were good. We did have an order or truffles fries to start which were delicious however our meals were very bland . We both ordered the statler chicken and it was lacking salt and flavor. We actually had to ask for a salt shaker! Our creme brûlée was soupy, not a great food experience :
Quaint restaurant. Service was excellent. Highly recommend eating there. The food was exceptionally good! I had the Salmon Belly bites with sweet potato strips drizzled with honey. My husband enjoyed his calamari. For our meals I had Salmon with mashed potatoes, snap peas with edible flowers. Husband had linguine with clams, lobster and shrimp. For dessert he had cream brulee topped with a crisp and blueberries and strawberries. We drove from Connecticut. Our compliments to Executive chef Logan and Sous chef Davin. We will definitely make the trip back up here. You will thoroughly enjoy your meal. We will make the trip up again real soon.
