Habana 61 - Havana

By far the best food we had in Havana. The lobster was chef for perfection. Gazpacho with shrimp was really good. The drinks have enough alcohol, we encountered a few places with watered drinks place is very clean with air conditioning, no flies!!! Price reasonable

The best restaurant we ate when visiting Cuba. It has a good reputation and it's well deserved, the food was delicious. The fish croquettes were light and fluffy with a delicate crispy outside. I can also highly recommend the traditional shredded beef, it was full of taste I must thank our waiter for his recommendation. Everything was not perfect as the lobster was a little over cooked, but full of taste. The staff was pleasant and helpful, their English far superior to my Spanish so led us through the menu and the elections. Reservations are a must, and they only take local reservations does not mean website bookings, so either use your local contact or book when you arrive first, but it is worth it.

Food and service here were amazing !! We ordered the Lobster tail in Garlic , the Ropa Vieja , Ceviche , and some rice, beans and bread. Everything we ate was incredible ! The staff even saw that we finished our rice and beans and brought us more over which was amazing as we loved the flavor of it. For what you get and the level of quality, its well worth it ! When i go back to Havana I will for sure go back to this restaurant

We were quite disappointed by this restaurant which didn't live up to the reviews. The food was OK but nothing more, and the plain rice and beans that was served with everything didn't really complement the tuna we ordered very well. We asked for medium-rare tuna but it came well done. The service didn't particularly feel very welcoming. We had far superior food and service at a lower price point elsewhere in Havana. Maybe we were just unlucky, but looking at how the couple next to us were struggling to cut through overcooked lobster then I don't think we were alone.

Some of the best food we had in Havana. A cosy restaurant with limited tables so best to book as it is always busy. Great cocktails and really friendly staff.
