Hello! We've been going to the old Palatinate for years, for the first time I was a student. The food was always great and of consistent quality. WÜnsche are always fulfilled and all are always satisfied. I don't care that the services sometimes seem short tied or unfriendly for some others because I almost all know. If you want to eat good-bourgeois German cuisine in the region, do not come past the Alte Pfalz.
We are or must say, almost regular customers in the old Palatinate. The food was mostly good in recent years. However, it was found that the service has fallen significantly in recent months. The behaviour of the operators is not hospitable. Don't listen properly and focus on yourself. The Servcie dress can also be desired (T-shirt instead of beautiful or white blouse, should only look well maintained). We also get good food with friendly staff in other places. We won't eat there anymore.
It was there today. So far, the food was quite o.k., but today totally salted. The asparagus was definitely unusable. I don't have to hurt myself.
I was in the Alte Pfalz restaurant for the second time today. Two years ago, the first time. The food was very delicious today. Fresh preparation of all supplements,no finished products and good meat quality and preparation. Which, in the end, also pays tribute to the fact that you have to wait for the food for a very long time. I could see the kitchen and the staff by chance, as I had accompanied my daughter at the ice cream. A nice gesture, by the way, that the children are allowed to go to the kitchens after dinner to choose a ball of ice. 3 cooks, a kitchen help and, in my opinion, an azuub or a chef. That would be enough for the catering capacity, but that is not the case or one is not sufficiently organized. In addition to the above-mentioned postitive aspects, however, I now noticed for the second time that the service leaves open to wishes. No special warm care, no smiling or even a nice word.... pity... besides the good kitchen you could score a lot. In my opinion, not only is the good quality of the kitchen, but also the service. There is a significant potential for improvement here. But apparently this doesn't bother the majority of the guests, the inn was very well visited even on Sunday evening between 18:00 and 20:00. If service and speed were to be added, we would certainly be here more often. We stayed with 2 adults and 2 children. Matti
