The hashbrown was sooooo greasy, as was the sausage. Toast was anaemic. Apart from the egg it all tasted greasy. The rooms was clean and adequate as was the separate shower room.
Stunning food in a wonderfully friendly atmosphere. The belly pork starter was melt in the mouth tasty and hubby said the halloumi with couscous was firey but lovely. I had steak pie and hubby the chicken leek pie. Crispy chips and the freshest peas. The crust was delightful with no soggy bottom and Oh! My! that gravy! Obvs had to have dessert, choc brownie for me mmmm lush and hubby had a choc bread butter pudding with custard. We now need a cheeky snooze lol good job we're booked in for the B B. Guys, please don't walk... you need to run, to this lovely country pub and enjoy.
Had a super meal here at lunchtime- food and service was faultless. We had a steak sandwich and a burger; all was freshly cooked, presented very well and really tasty! Will definitely return again, the photos of Sunday lunch on offer and the specials on offer means something available to please everyone.
I regularly eat here. Very friendly staff. Great for family’s. I came in to try try the mussels, a special advertised online. I went with mussels with bacon and cider, although a variety of sauces was on offer. This is one of my favourites so have it often. This was the nicest one I’ve ever had, very plump, fresh tasting mussels. Fresh herbs and garnish, the sauce was absolutely delicious. Comes with French bread.
Food excellent as usual; I had salt and pepper squid and a cheeseburger, with a side of gravy for dipping, so good. Even the chips are moreish and I’m not usually a fan
