Fabelhafter Service, wunderschöne Speisekarte. Internationale Standardküche. Von der Skipiste L’Éteygeon ist auch ein privater Bus-Shuttle verfügbar. Wunderschön!
What a shame! You have all the ingredients for a perfect quality mountain restaurant: Great and innovative chef and 5* food ! great location near the bottom of Les Masses Chair Lift, fantastic views to the Matterhorn, only for an arrogant and inattentive member of the service team to ruin what would have been an easy 5 Star rating. This is the third and will unfortunately be the last time this year we have visited the ‚Bois Sauvage‘. Twice we were ‚unlucky‘ to get the youngish, darkhaired waitress who really is not doing the restaurant any favours: we had not reserved but several tables were free but she made a big play of how difficult it would be. It was the friendly Sommelier who took over and guided us to a better table than she had in mind. For the second time she nearly ‚demands‘ what you want to drink although we have not been given the Menue and had a chance to look at food options which would influence our choice of beverage. As before, food takes a long time coming, but all is freshly prepared and, what is more important, really delicious. However, that is more or less the last time we see our waitress at our table as she is intent on doing anything other than enquiring whether all is ok and whether we need anything. For 40 minutes after having finished the main course and waiting, waiting for the dessert we manage to ‚catch her eye‘ I don’t enjoy shouting across the restaurant to attract attention she says the order must have gone astray… but she should have kept an eye on our table, not the other way around. I said we are not prepared to wait any longer and asked for the bill. We were charged for 3 courses, and after complaining she said that was correct, we chose not to have the third course…I made it quite clear that was not our fault and only then was the bill reduced. What a disastrous attitude towards a customer. I feel sorry for the kitchen team whose great work is being undone by a poor and uninterested waitress.
Alex, chef, had taken over this beautiful restaurant and moved it forward. Staff attentive and relaxed. Food better then good. Views the best. What more do you want? Best in 4 valleys.
We found this place by recommendation. Food was lovely, service fantastic and friendly and it was a super day out from Verbier. Do book in advance, and keep an eye on the time if you're skiing back. If skiing in, make sure you know how to get there there's more than one route. If you're confident off piste then there's a really stunning run from Greppon Blanc. Phone the restaurant to ask for a pickup from the bottom (or there are bus and taxi options).
