We were a bit hesitant at first due to the possibility of loud music, but to our surprise, the music was at a nice, comfortable level at noon. The service was friendly and quick, and the food exceeded our expectations. The steak and potato soup was exceptional, the fish with beer batter was delicious, and the steak sandwich was cooked perfectly to my liking. I would have preferred the toast to have a garlic flavor, but overall, I would definitely go back to Sally's again.
I have had the chance to have lunch here multiple times while enjoying a couple of pints... excellent service and a nice atmosphere...
My coworkers and I recently had lunch at this restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised and thoroughly impressed with the food! The portion sizes were generous, the fries were homemade, and everything tasted delicious. Kudos to Sally's staff for a job well done!
I would love to try and give my opinion about this place. I would like to tell you about the food and drinks. But our group didn't get the chance. Went out for supper on a Wednesday night to watch the hockey game and playoffs baseball game. Ordered our drinks and asked if one of the over dozen tvs could be turned to the hockey game as well. Was told by the waitress that she didn't know how to change the channel on the tv. We asked if there was anyone there that would be able to help us.... Her response was that we should go to Boston Pizza!!!!! Go to Boston Pizza???? We didn't even get a chance to order. Sign on the building says best service in town. Very far from it. 6 people prepared to order drinks and a bunch of food. They couldn't be bothered. So yes we did take our business else where. We won't return. I predict this place won't be in business for that much longer anyways.
Good value in this pub. You just have to know how to work a menu..avoid the overpriced and zero in on the daily special if you like it or the everyday special steak sandwich at $9.95. The fires are hand made and very tasty. Be careful if you up-sell to the gravy. It is an extra $2.50. The house wine is very tasty and comes from a box not a bottle that has been sitting half empty for a long time. There are plenty of draft beer choices and at a very good price. Just stay away from the menu on the table with expensive appetizers like $9.95 deep fried pickle. Sally's has a very pleasant female bartender on duty the last 3 times that we have been there.
