The Moorings - Highland

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Moorings Restaurant on Christmas Day, and it was a delightful experience from beginning to end. Despite it being a holiday, the restaurant had a full team working and the service was exceptionally friendly and attentive. I ordered the fish and chips, and I must say, the portion size was very generous, and each bite was flavorful and cooked to perfection. Thank you, Moorings Restaurant, for making my Christmas lunch so enjoyable. I highly recommend it!

We called here for an evening meal on the off chance without booking a table. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We ordered the fish and chips and was absolutely gob smacked at what they presented. The fish was huge! The whole meal was excellent. I will definitely be back next year.

Score it for what it is a cosy, friendly spot, but clearly set up for speedy service to suit all the mini tour buses and boat trip folk, it's not a fancy restaurant. BUT don't let that put you off, great menu, very fast service (although it was nearly full) and our choices were delicious, good quality meals. The staff were friendly and I would thoroughly recommend a visit.

The restaurant is located in a beautiful area near a scenic viewpoint. It was a rainy and windy day, making it the perfect time to enjoy a meal. This eatery has a laid-back and casual atmosphere, perfect for enjoying simple and delicious food and drinks. While the dishes may not be fancy, the portions are generous. I highly recommend trying the fish and chips. The prices are reasonable and the staff is very friendly, helpful, and welcoming.
