The cruise leaves near Genfinnan house hotel and ends at Acharacle at other end of the lock. Ali and Chris not only looked after us they showed great knowledge of the Lock and its history. We saw white tailed eagles with chick in nest and black throated divers along with common seagulls and two chicks. The crew knew where to look and navigated the ship so we had some great photographs. The knowledge of the history buildings and the Jacobite history was well explained.
Keith and Kay couldn’t be more welcoming. Food was local, fresh and delicious. Deffo recommended for an overnight stop off. Hope to be back.
Really friendly family owed restaurant. We just stopped in for a quick bit to hold us over to dinner. I had the apple pie and my husband had a slice of some type of lemon pie/cake. The apple pie was good. I also had a large tea while my husband had coffee. Very relaxed environment. The owner was really friendly and has two dogs which are nice and mellow. There are snacks for sale already packaged for travel. We took some freshly baked snacks for later that night (i really do not remember what we had…only it was good). The restaurant offers local artist crafts for sale. We Recommend a stop in for a quick bit to eat.
Great coffee and cake. Friendly service and a lovely gift shop adjacent to the cafe. Best Bakewell slice ever!
Away for a week with the hubby exploring the highlands of Scotland and what a gem we found . This place has it all . First and foremost the full English was impressive , every individual part was delicious and the coffee was strong and endless just how I like it . As if that’s not enough your seated inside the most beautiful shop full of local crafts to buy, from beautifully crafted walking sticks to whisky and honey hand care . Top this all off with the most approachable owner and his well behaved dog ! Utter breakfast bliss , Thankyou
