Contribuisci feedbackFood First tried to order a toastie but they had no bread (even though they were inside Sainsburys). We ordered one scampi meal and one fish meal. The plates were strangely small with that psychology to make you think you are eating more but the smallish portions were actually ok, so I guessed it worked. We ordered a cappuccino and chai latte as well, which also tasted ok, hence the rating. Unfortunately, what left the place down was the lazy attitude of the server. We were the only ones ordering at that time and the food order goes straight to the kitchen. Somebody came from inside and all she did was stand there talking, laughing and joking. Another customer came and ordered a takeaway drink which she made immediately. She seemed to be flirting with him. A guy came from inside, so I asked him to prepare our drinks and explained we had been waiting longer. He apologised but I said it should be her, not him. She then laughed about it. By the time the drinks came, we almost finished our food and it was 20 minutes (always keep the receipt for such things). The management should send this lazy girl on customer service classes or fire her as it is not good for business. Would I eat there again NO. Would I recommend it NO.
We have visited Carluccio's at T5 regularly for years. Food, quality and service wise it is very good for breakfast, lunch or dinner. HOWEVER, I just found out that as on January 2020 the staff will ONLY receive 15% of any tip paid by credit card. This, in my opinion is unacceptable. Manager I look forward to hear how you can justify TAKING 85% of the staff tips?. From now please leave only Cash tips everyone. Otherwise you are just paying more money for your food. I will no longer give card tips.
Breakfast after shopping child size portions on a Child size plate. Not worth £6 (without drinks) only redeeming feature the decent sausage. Bacon streaky rashers and not nice, two overs of toast and an egg. Pathetic really. Morrisons and Tesco offer far better for same price or support local business. Staff polite and friendly/ not busy but that possible reflects the waiting of food and value for money.won’t return soon.
We thought you can't go wrong with a Carluccio's restaurant. How wrong were we! They ran out of the kind of pasta for the dish I ordered and when the waiter came to tell me he asked if I would accept penne instead. The menu advised it was penne so I was confused. I then witnessed a very angry manager shouting at the waiter. Quite frankly it was totally unnecessary and it really doesn't matter what kind of pasta it is. We then waited for about 30mins for our food. It was tasteless and I wouldn't recommend eating here.
I was surprised always have wanted to try Carluccios and did yesterday whilst waiting for my flight. Service was attentive (yet not in your face and the food was great drinks were well priced too! I have a large concern that when you are imprisoned in an airport terminal they outlets have you and can charge whatever they want (to ridiculous levels Carluccios clearly do not :
