The Meating Place - Hillsboro

The only negative thing I have to say about this place is how far I live. as this is said, I will make the hour trip once in the month and put it on. my vacuum diarr has a lot of work on these days. the meat is the best they can find, their neighboring food business or costco simply cannot compare. also the price for the high quality meat is unbeatable. there are also very good sortimente of salt, hot and bbq sauce, and dog treated. my partner and I have tried so many new meats and cuts since we are here and everything I can say is bring back the squab. Do not forget to stop in caffe and sneak an amazing sandwich. consider placing their order in front of the shop, as the caffe is always busy and for obvious reasons, eating is delicious.

Haven't eaten the meat yet so may come back and give another star later. The 4 stars are for the store itself. Lots of parking when you drive up. The store is spacious, bright, and clean. Lots of choices and the meat looked good. The prices were reasonable and we ended up getting a pair of nice thick NY Steaks and a couple pounds of lean burger... Well, and some jerky and a handful of pepperoni sticks.Looking forward to grilling the steaks.Update:. The steaks were great. The burger was tasty in both a pasta sauce and as taco meat. We went back for more of each this last weekend and my wife wants to pick up some of their thick pork chops next time we go. The marinated/seasoned meats looked good as well and planning to try some pre-made kabobs the next time we grill. Bumping the rating to 5 stars. This is our new go-to meat place

The quality of the meat is worth the trip and cost. So many options and cuts of high quality meat. The bacon is worthy of a trip on its own. They make some of the best pepperoni, always have to buy a pound to snack on, perfectly smoked and the right amount of peppery spice. I highly recommend them for game processing, especially if you harvest gamey meat, they will turn it into tasty sausage or pepperoni.

Great sandwich!!! Your belly is full and happy after eating here! They are little spendy but you get what you pay for!!! I would recommend it to everyone in the area and all a round!! It's a great environment when you walk in and order.

My husband just picked us up some breakfast from here for Mother's Day this past weekend. The breakfast burritos are HANDS DOWN the best I've ever had! So so good! Quality and taste was top notch. Can't wait to come back here to buy some meat from the butcher shop. My new go-to!
