SSS BBQ Barn - Tamworth - HILLVUE

Been going here for years, tonight was the worst feed ive ever had anywhere. Steak was a discrace and the fatty ribs , yuk. never again.

If you are looking for a good steak in Tamworth don’t go here. The steak was near inedible (yearling scotch fillet), halloumi bites were average at best but made even worse with the tartare sauce served with them. The only thing that we enjoyed was the waffle with ice cream which anyone can make at home. To top it off the atmosphere was zero on a Saturday night. It’s a no from me.

Decided to go there for dinner, turned the corner and thought s..t. BUT KEEP GOING!!! It was a fantastic meal, good size serving, staff were friendly, prices were pretty good and even enjoyed the pop corn.

Very disappointed used to go to SSS many years ago and was great however haven’t been for a while. No atmosphere poor service, can’t cook a steak to save their lives, give it a miss and go to the Longyard down the road.

The bbq flavored popcorn when were seated was sooo good I asked about their seasoning. It was available for sale which I agreed to. It arrived at the table at the end of our meal in a round takeaway container, which turned out to be $14 when we paid. A tad too much for some spices. Our steaks were delicious and cooked perfectly to order, however, having ordered more wine, it took almost till the end of our meal to catch someone’s eye to ask if the request had been actually been placed. Good food, but I object to wait staff who serve a table and then look at the floor rather than at other tables that might be trying to catch their attention. I was on the verge of going to the counter before I managed to wave down a staff member.
