Walked in, reached for a protein bar while excusing myself to the customer standing nearby waiting for an order, and was immediately confronted by an extremely rude employee who demanded that I give the other customer “some space.” I tossed the bar onto the counter, walked out, and purchased the same bar at a store across the street. I returned to this store to have a talk with the manager about what had transpired minutes earlier, and he just happened to be at the front of the store, accusing me of “throwing something at his staff.” I told him what actually happened (had I thrown it at his employee instead of simply tossing it on the counter, it would have hit her since she was on the other side of the counter only 2 feet away) but he had no interest in listening, and told me I couldn’t be in the store. I told him I had no interest in ever stepping foot in his store again. I’ve never been in a place where both an employee and a manager go out of their way to pick a fight with a customer who was doing nothing more than trying to buy something from them.
