It is a humble and authentic Izakaya that is tucked away on the map. If you're lucky, you might be able to experience it the way it is meant to be enjoyed - at the bar. Whether you're a couple looking for a romantic evening or a solo diner seeking some peace and enjoyment, this place is perfect. We tried two drinks and they were expertly made. The dishes had a subtle texture and quality that justified their reasonable prices. Overall, this was one of the best dinner experiences we've had. The ambiance was very romantic and the vibe was slow and relaxed, bringing us much happiness. The staff may not speak perfect English, but they are friendly and accommodating.
I absolutely loved this restaurant! The fresh fish and seafood flown in from Japan were delicious. The wait staff was very friendly and the presentation of the dishes was fantastic.
The food at this restaurant is excellent, but it is definitely on the pricey side, especially if you opt for the sushi/sashimi dishes. We tried the Oboro Tofu with Ikura, Kabocha Nimono (pumpkin), Hokkaido Uni with Quail Egg, Amaebi, Shima Aji, Kinmei Dai, and Kotobuki Dynamite Roll, and they were all delicious and authentic. We wanted to sample more of their offerings, but the cost can quickly add up to over $100 per person. I highly recommend the tofu and pumpkin dishes, as they are unique and not commonly found in American sushi restaurants. The menu can be a bit confusing and it took us a while to decide what to order, but our waitress was very patient.
Very good food but on the pricy side. We ordered crabfish, sashimi, tempura etc., they are all delicious. Drinks are ok-ish, not much good choice.
Everything was so delicious! Had to get the ikura back to dessert. I recommend the carafe. You also have a wonderful list. One is the Karakuchi (dry) around us. Excellent service.
