Phenix Chinese Restaurnat - Hope Mills

I wanted this restaurant to be good because it's near.However unfortunately the food here is horrible!!! I can’t even call it Chinese food because it’s not Chinese food!! So disappointed not good quality! The chicken broccoli was swimming in some clear soupy broth, the broccoli was hard the chicken not cooked thru!!Please Please don’t waste your hard earned money at a business that doesn’t know how to cook Chinese food!! 1 star is being to generous!!! They need to relaunch with all new cooks to improve!!

Saw this restaurant being talked about in a food group so went to give it a try. The Chinese food was fresh and tasty. I ordered the honey chicken with fried rice and a homemade sweet tea. The staff was really friendly and si received a complimentary sweet tea on behalf of the lady working the register since this was my first time. I will most definitely be going back, it was worth the 15 mins drive.

DO NOT ORDER HERE!!!! the menu is incorrect on ALL of their prices! I got 3 plates and the donut things. the menu said $8.95 for our plates and I was charged $12.75 per plate plus tax! I asked what was up with the price differences and she said they went up. Okay that’s fine! But when the menu online and ALL the menus at the restaurant are incorrect there is a problem. She said their printer was broke and the menu was over 7 years old. I call BS and do not appreciate being lied to and charged random prices! Very unprofessional and I will not be eating here again, which is sad because I’ve been coming here off on since I was a little girl. I was tempted to just leave the food eat somewhere else. I am very disappointed.

Staff is very friendly and food is the best in town

My husband placed an order online which showed a menu and prices. I went to pick up my food and my total was $45 for 3 items. I wasn't certain what he had ordered because I only requested Chinese vegetables with shrimp it was good but we also ordered shrimp/broccoli it was over cooked. I saw the sign that stated a price change but there were menu on the counter with all the old prices. So i requested an itemized breakdown of the new prices. All items were over $5.00 more. I told her that she should remove those menus if the prices are not correct but she commented that her printer wasn't working. I feel this is false advertisement. I called the Phenix in St Pauls to compare prices , there was an increase but only about $2.00 more per item.
