My wife, 3 children, and grandparents had a wonderful Sunday Roast and we are looking forward to coming back in the future. The price of £20 for 2 courses and £25 for 3 courses was exceptional value for the delicious meal we enjoyed today. We ordered 2 starters (both with smoked salmon), 7 main courses (4 Roast Beef, 1 Roast Chicken, and 2 Fish and Chips), and 6 desserts (including ice cream sundaes, chocolate brownies, and cheese and biscuits). The food quality and service were outstanding, and I would happily come back on a Sunday when the kids meals are charged because it was that good. We can't wait to return already.
A Prosecco breakfast to celebrate a special birthday. The waiter was really attentive and continually offered to top up the prosecco glasses and was very pleasant. The breakfast was OK and served hot and plenty of it but it was nothing special.
My wife, older daughter and I wanted to arrange a surprise 40th birthday party for our younger daughter/sister. We visited several places but Cisswood House was by far the friendliest and most helpful on our preliminary visit. Nicky the events manager was first class from beginning to end and helped plan the perfect celebration. On the day everything was ready and waiting as we wanted and the room looked fantastic. To top it all the food was plentiful and of very high quality and we got exceptional value for money. The staff were a true team and every one of them helped to make our daughters surprise occasion very special indeed. All in all highly recommended. We stayed over too and the rooms and breakfast were great. So five stars all round from us. Thank you.
The experience was amazing. The suite I stayed in was absolutely wonderful and the best room I have ever stayed in. The staff were incredibly helpful, the breakfast was great, and I couldn't be happier with the amazing bath and walk-in shower in the suite. I will definitely be back. Thank you.
Myself, Husband and our Son visited Cisswood House Hotel for lunch today. The food was nice, although the service left lots to desire. Our food arrived in a timely fashion, although then 35 mins after receiving dinner and having finished for 20+ minutes, there was no sign of our plates being collected and the next course being ordered. I went up to the bar to remind them that we were still here. Our plates were soon collected and dessert ordered. Another timely wait for 2 x brownies and a sticky toffee pudding, we were served pudding, exactly 1 hour and 2 minutes after our lunch was served. Trying to keep a 4year old occupied for this amount of time is not pleasurable, the opposite to what a lunch out should be. I also overheard 2 other complaints being made to staff during our visit there. It seems that there were only 2 members of staff to cover the restaurant and the bar area- this isn’t sufficient. I do not recommend here for families with young children, nor if you are looking for a quick lunch (by quick I mean 1.5 hours or less. We were there for 2 hours and I’m glad to be home after our visit)
