Abula Hotpot - Houston

This is the best abula that I have tasted in the usa, I am someone who travels a lot, I have been around site, tried several amala steered this is by far the best. I can't wait to go back!

When they visit houston, I will suggest you try this place. I had her amala and it's downstairs one of the best I had in a very long time in the states. my wife had baked rice and she confirmed that it was also excellent. many thanks also for the great customer service.

It’s a hit or miss with these folks. Showed up here on Sunday 6.36 and their sign shows they’re open but the door was locked. I called multiple times and then started banging on the door. The lady comes to the door to say they’re closed.It was the most annoying thing ever. Why does it show they’re open till 10pm?. I drove 16mins and Ofcourse my time was wasted. Never coming back. Show some regard for people’s time and change your hours of operation.

My first visit was good and a female lady staff was helpful (I ate Amala and Egusi). So I decided to try repeat my visit a week later. I was concerned about a particularly rude female staff who missed the order I placed by phone. Upon reminding her about a key event of the call to place my order, was that she could not understand a local regional dialect, she displayed what I can describe as a silly arrogance.Poor attitude who does not understand that many people consider kpanla to be dried cod. Apparently, her version of kpanla happened to be a different fish entirely. I was glad a gentleman, the manager or owner perhaps, described the specific fish after he overhead my question to another customer about my confusion. The assorted meat selection contained a couple of cattle small intestines (or intestines of some other animal), beef skins and a tough fried piece of beef.An employee with a disregarding attitude does not help this business. Its a shame we deal with silly attitudes in the diaspora.
