My friends car broke down so we were sitting at Remos for a while. Had their brisket fries and they were great! I was impressed with the actual quantity of brisket. Staff were also very friendly! I would recommend ordering ahead of time to pick up also.
My sister I visited ReMo 's Cafe on an early Saturday afternoon. The dining area is small, but welcoming. The young lady that took our order/cashier was very friendly knowledgeable. Although she was working with a recently injured arm that was in a sling, she was STILL very accommodating, pleasant efficient. My main reason for going was to try the 3-MEAT BBQ BAKED POTATO that was highly recommended by a church member. Unfortunately, they were out of POTATOES!! The cashier recommended that I try the 3-Meat Dinner/Plate with 2-Sides. I got Ribs, Sliced Beef, Links, Collard Greens Cornbread (sorry, it 's been a few weeks I can 't remember my other side dish). The ribs were seasoned well very tender. The links were a little spicy, but tasty. The sliced beef was average. I didn 't really like the sauce, but it was to the side in a separate container I opted NOT to add the sauce. My sister ordered a Sliced Beef Sandwich, Fries a Boudin Link. However, after paying (the kitchen staff informed the cashier that they were out of Boudin)... The cashier apologized credited my card. My sister also ordered Sweet Tea, but did not like the taste (she 's a bonafide tea drinker), so the cashier suggested that she try the same drink she recommended to me (that was refreshing)... Kool-Aid Lemonade Mix. Also, I wanted to try their Banana Pudding... But, they were out of it too! The food was OK; however, the fact that they were out of the main dish I went there for was VERY DISAPPOINTING. As we were leaving, we met a young man coming into the restaurant with GROCERIES in tow... I jokingly asked if he had the potatoes he said YES!! SMH... I shared my disappointment for NOT being able to taste the 3-MEAT BBQ BAKED POTATO. He apologized asked if the staff made recommendations/substitutions... I told him how accommodating the cashier was, but also informed him that I wasn 't sure when I 'd give them another try.S/N: The Ladies Restroom was very clean with great Artwork on walls a little bench.Parking: ReMo 's is located in a strip center, so there are several parking spaces... We parked right in front of the restaurant.
Was in the area and looking forward to trying the food here. I ordered the fish fillet 6 shrimp plate w/ pinto beans, the rib plate w/ baked beans and mac cheese for my daughter, and a slice of pound cake. Everything together was $43. The fish and shrimp were too SALTY. The pinto beans were mushy like refried beans and bland tasting. I tried my daughter’s food and the ribs were ok, the bbq sauce tasted like ketchup, the mac cheese was cheesy/wet tasting and also bland. The pound cake was good! The staff seems nice and I really wanted to like this place but it missed the mark w/ the food. Definitely not worth the price :
