The food here is fantastic! The atmosphere is casual since it's also a market. I noticed a worker who had passed out at a table, likely exhausted from the lunch rush—I can’t say I blame her. I highly recommend trying anything from the Birria section of the menu; it’s definitely worth it!

I had seen countless positive posts about this restaurant, so I finally decided to give it a try last week. I ordered the birria tacos, which were quite tasty—loaded with freshly grilled beef and perfectly melted mozzarella. The flavors were spot on. However, I deducted two stars due to the painfully slow service and the pricing. I placed an order for four tacos to go, and it took over 40 minutes to be ready, even though I was the only customer there at the time.

I've driven past this place countless times, and I finally had the chance to visit after winning a Facebook contest for birria. Oh my goodness, the food was incredible! The store itself is fantastic—there's a butcher and deli in the back, along with a wide selection of authentic Mexican groceries. Plus, you can order food to go! The staff was very friendly, and the place was clean and well-lit. We will definitely be returning!

GET THE PAMBAZO!!! It?s so so good and massive. Also the birria quesa tacos make my entire day better and are just as good if not better than most taco places I?ve had all over Baja the Yucatan. The food is messy (ruined one of my fave work shirts) but so worth it and makes me so happy. I don?t hear nearly enough people talking about La Colonial but it?s an absolute must eat if you?re in Huntsville

Hands down the best barría I?ve ever had. I ordered the barría quesadilla and hubby had the barría tacos and carne asada fries. We ordered take out online it was hot and fresh when we arrived. The barría was loaded with flavor and I could have easily just drank that! The carne asada fries had a little gristle in it but other than that they were loaded down with toppings which I appreciated. We opted to dine in instead of driving it home. (Great decision).
