We don't have The Dixie House Cafe anywhere close to where I live so I miss going there when I have to leave my sister and go back home. The staff is friendly, the food is fresh and hot when it's served. I am a big fan of this restaurant! Can't wait to come back!
The waitress was really funny and just really friendly good food. Good people good experience thank God for good people and good food.
My family has been eating at Dixie House locations for probably 15 years, since the H‑E‑B location first opened in Euless (prior to relocating to Hurst). Went to eat there today and noticed how empty it was. This place used to be busy all the time. Upon receiving the bill it became obvious why it’s dead… the prices. The food is still decent and the service is still friendly (our waitress was excellent) but we could’ve eaten at a steakhouse for what we paid. The rent in this new location must be ASTRONOMICAL because for 3 whiteboard specials, 3 drinks, and 2 banana puddings we paid $68 and they charged us a $3 fee for paying with a card. $71 for food that is prepared in the morning and kept on a warmer all day? At these new overinflated prices, Dixie House is just not worth the cost anymore. Last time patronizing this establishment.
Went for breakfast, service was friendly and prompt. Menu prices for diner food was exorbitant particularly the ala carte choices and add-ons or subs. Likely wouldn't return.
Food was.delicious but too salty for me. Some people would just think it's delicious; but why does everything have to have so much salt? Great service, we'll be backVegetarian options: Fried okra, green beans, mac& cheese is delicious, mashed potatoes, corn
