Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen - Hyattsville

I applaud the birthday service given to me by Irene at the Popeyes on 2451 Chillum road yesterday at 09:21 pm. I did order 12 wings 6 sweet n spicy and the other 6 hot).I was impressed by the attention she offered while servicing me since it was my birthday and being a one person celebration, I didn't know what to buy though Irene guided me through with lots of Patience and enthusiasm. Such people like Irene ought to be the type that should be in every eating arena or places. She was composed ,confident, fluent, particular and most importantly patient with my questions.

Misael- the manager not only let someone cut the line, but as I was placing my order he decides to answer the phone. This isn’t what upset me, it’s how he was on the phone the entire time explaining to someone how to apply online which is very rude since he stopped acknowledging me. Then he had the phone on his ear talking while he’s making my order. Then I tell him can you please get off the phone while you’re bagging my order as I don’t want your spit flying in my food. He ignoring me the first time so I yelled out. He proceeded to say something in Spanish to the lady in the kitchen. As a manager myself you don’t do things like this. Simply place the person on the phone on hold and tend to the customers in the store. This food will most likely be trashed I won’t be returning.

0 STAR SERVICE!I visited this Popeye’s from out of town and left highly disappointed. I ordered 2 sandwich meals and some dessert. I left with only one sandwich which was made completely wrong. For drinks, I was asked if I wanted my strawberry lemonades frozen or chilled. I wanted them chilled. The employee proceeded to hand me 2 strawberry lemonades that were NEITHER frozen or chilled. The drinks were warm with no ice. On top of that, the customer service wasn’t great. I understand everyone has rough days, however, the young lady who took my order was unapproachable and very inattentive.

Long wait, don't know the menu, and the chicken is dry.Will not go to that one again.

This particular Popeyes is on a steady decline. The management there hides in the back office, doesn't help their crew when there is an issue w/ customer's order. The wait time there is absurdly long each of the times I've visited or had food delivery from there. On top of all of the above the food is often subpar. There's also been instances where the chicken tasted old and rubbery. I've blacklisted this location and have opted to visit the one in the PG mall. It's a smaller operation but at least you'll get decent tasting food.
