Owned by Lochs and Glens stayed whilst on a trip to Scotland with them the standard I would say is 3* clean staff very accommodating food is adequate, possibly a little on bland side breakfast is the best, evening meal a little basic, what you get is pleasant considering it is geared for Lochs and Glens coach tours, which is excellent value for money, highly recommended. It is certainly off the beaten track in the Inversnaid National Park, walkers walking pass call in for snacks and drink but mainly caters for people who book trips from all over the country. Definitely recommend
I stopped by the restaurant while hiking the West Highland Way to dry my feet, charge my electronics, and enjoy a much-needed cup of tea. The staff were fantastic, especially considering the wet Scottish weather I had endured all morning. They kindly took care of my wet clothes and backpack without any fuss. I also had a lovely chat with the bar staff while sipping my tea. It was a great experience!
The location is beautiful, but despite being advertised in most travel guides for hikers on the West Highland Route, the menu only offered drinks and very simple, dry snacks like biscuits and chocolate. This isn’t the staff’s fault, but if hikers are expecting a proper meal here, they will be disappointed.
The location is stunning—quiet and accessible via a narrow road, with a beautiful waterfall nearby. It's an ideal spot for hiking. While we didn't stay at the hotel, we stopped by for a quick snack and drinks. Unfortunately, the tea was awful, and the selection of cakes was very limited and quite disappointing. The service at the bar was surprising; it should be a welcoming place for hikers and visitors, but it was far from that. I believe the server's name was Luci, and he was unfriendly and unapproachable, missing a great opportunity to provide genuine hospitality. This place could really shine with a little improvement in service. However, the spectacular views of Loch Lomond make it worth a visit. As a side note, you can bring your own snacks.
