Chequers Indian Lounge - Ipswich

Friday (or every day really) evening, long working week, imagination someone else does the whole hard work, you will not go far wrong with The Chequers. The Chequers had an extension to the original building quite recently, it sympathetic in the established building, looks really modern on the inside with a subtle knot to its historical past. We received a table at short notice, the staff was attentive and profession throughout, the menu extensively with a specials board to supplement the printed menu. The food (lamb shaft and fish cake) that we are honest was the only reason why we were absolutely super, we were convinced a few pudding (apple crumble and cheesecake), as well as and I am so glad we did. Top marks round.

What a beautiful birthday meal. Cocktails were delicious, food excellent and service fantastically highly recommended. Will definitely return!

Exceptionally good food. Expensive but well worth the money. With this in mind regarding a takeaway, an offer of a drink while waiting would have made it perfect. Also add a couple of free poppadoms. I will still go back it was very tasty.
