The young lady serving behind the counter was friendly and I was served quickly even though they were busy Had a coffee and cupcake which was delicious and while there booked a birthday party for my youngest daughter as I found they do a craft themed party which sounds a great idea and good value for money
They couldn't have been expecting it- the arrival of the Flying Scotsman with 400 passengers, many of whom descended on this cafe. The staff worked really hard to get people served, and though time moved on and we ended up with our meals done as takeaways we appreciated their efforts. I hope this cafe is a success as it certainly deserves to be.
Took a chance, allowed dogs in, so far so good. Young waitress, no training and certainly no customer service skills. Wrong attitude and rude, maybe because she had more than three customers. Go and find a job more suited to your personality, certainly shouldn’t be working in the hospitality industry.
We visited Holyhead and decided to stop at this restaurant for some drinks. We ordered drinks and toasted tea cakes, which were offered as a meal deal for £3.50. The drinks arrived quickly, but the tea cakes took longer. I had a weak black coffee and my wife had a latte. The tea cakes were good. When we paid, we were charged £1.75 for each item, totaling £7.00 or £3.50 for the meal deal x2. It was interesting to see that the individual prices on the menu were £1.75 for drinks and £1.50 for the tea cakes. While we didn't question it at the time, it is not good practice to charge extra for a meal deal. You can check the prices for yourself on the menu.
Visited here for a late lunch with my mum and dad and my 2 kids. The whole visit was shocking. To be fair they all said they were new staff and the owner ? had broken her leg and they didn't seem confident in what they were doing. It was a struggle just to order our food but 4 of us went for the sandwich/soup combo and my little lad got a jacket potato. The soups came out first, one by one as they were obviously being cooked in the microwave. The soup was cold and out of a tin.....they even admitted it was from a tin!! It was revolting. The sandwich was dreadful, a teaspoon of tuna on it and just on normal store bought cheap bread. We had all finished our dinner by the time the jacket potato finally came out to the bemusement of my 5 year old who was getting very hungry at this point. They have no idea how to make a latte??!! I sent it back twice and then told them to leave it and gave up. We told them that it just wasn't good at all politely and that the soup was cold, to be told that they where cooked to 70degrees.........yeah pretty sure it should be warmer than that! But why argue with the customer when it was evident it was awful?! The last kick in the nuts was when they gave us the bill and massively over charged us! They had billed the soup and sandwiches separately rather than as a deal as per their menu and left on my latte on the bill too! I gave them £20 and told them they were lucky to get that they didn't argue! Disaster.....owners fault as they need to train their staff! I actually felt sorry for them in the end.
