Vinyl Cafe - Islington

This restaurant is an affordable and enjoyable spot near the office where one can easily find a reasonably priced meal and drink. It may be a bit hidden, but that just adds to its charm - sometimes the best places are the ones you stumble upon unexpectedly.

Popped in for lunch after meeting with a couple of music related companies. Seem to have a daily special, which is cheap and plentiful, this particular day though I opted for their sandwich selection which didnt disappoint for myself and 2 guests. All very fresh and tasty, served with a smile, definitely a spot to drop in and even a nice outside areas for those odd days when the sun shines

Painfully slow service. Make sure you have time when you go there, as the staff rather chat and faff around rather than serve you. They are completely disinterested and have an attitude problem. Coffee usually takes 2-3 minutes in other places, here you can expect to wait AT LEAST10 minutes. And it's not very good coffee. This has happened to me at least 3 times. Also, have a look inside the cup as I have been served a latte with congealed milk inside. It was lumpy and not nice, so went straight in the bin. If you can't even get a cup of coffee right, then there's very little hope for all else. Salads are tasteless, so they drown in with sauce/dressing. Good luck with your diet! It's also expensive, but they know they have the monopoly in the area as there's no other food places around.

Had one of the best meetings with music colleagues ever here....great atmosphere and friendly bar staff

The staff at this restaurant are all incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food is absolutely amazing! While it may be a bit pricey, it is definitely worth the money. I tried the toasted chicken wrap with a side salad and it was one of the best meals I've had in a long time! I highly recommend this place, as the atmosphere is cozy yet modern, and they even offer free infused water for guests. Although it may be a bit off the beaten path and hard to find, I will definitely be returning on my next trip to London!
