Outrageously good. Dripping (literally) with flavor. Best burger I’ve had in Portland at that price point, maybe period. Great owner, really cares about his craft. Simple, sustainable ingredients made with a lot of care and love… epitome of good Portland food.
Went there for lunch and was blown away by how delicious their burgers are. My daughter ate her burger so fast, I was worried she was going to be sick lol. She loved it and said she wants to go here for lunch everyday! The burgers here are very unique and original in how they use their cheese. The cheese is delicious but doesn’t take away from the amazing flavor of the burger. The outer edges of the cheese are grilled so that it creates sort of a crispy “cheese skirt” around the whole burger. I can’t put into words how awesome it was! Thank you YesPlease SmashBurger so much for your incredible service and food. We will 100% be back again very soon!!
The saltiness of the cheese overwhelms all other flavors of the thick burger. The smash burger was not even thin!! Regular burger. Also add the fact that sprite was $4 ! This is just another stab in the back. The fries and yes sauce were really good though, but the burger is on the border of unedible and edible
You ever dream about at THICK, GREASY smashburger? No. You don 't. Because a smashburger is supposed to be thin with lacy edges with that delicious maillard effect crisping the patty. I knew I was going to be in for a bad time when the employee (Note: not the owner) got confused when I told him I was looking forward to how thin he could make the patty. What I got was a barely dressed sloppy, greasy THICK burger. I 've had thinner patties at McDonalds. And it was so, so greasy. The cheese on top had a weird Fruit roll up quality to it, and wasn 't crunchy or steamed. Maybe microwaved? Anyway, it was an awful experience and I couldn 't even finish the burger it was so bad. Try a real smashburger like Mid-City Smashburger or Pleasure Burger. I was excited when the Willamette Weekly recommended this one, but did the reviewer even eat here? The fries were nothing impressive. I feel for small businesses, but not when they charge high prices for low quality. Skip, skip, skip.
