The owner, Armando, greeted us when we walked in and went over the menu. They market themselves as Latin Fusion and they do it well. I tried their Sancocho (beef stew w/ root vegetables) and I literally had the bowl to my mouth slurping down every bit of the starchy goodness. The side of tostones came with their garlicky Chevere sauce that had my wife and me fighting for. lol. The service was excellent, by the time we left I felt like the owners and I were old friends. I 'll definitely be back to try the Arepas and for more of that Chevere sauce. Thank you Latin Cafe for a truly 'no stress ' experience.
Wandered in to Chevere to catch a quick bite while waiting for 'Sue Regis Glass Art workshop ' right next door. The Arepa was the best sandwich I ever tasted. All their food is made from scratch and authentic tastes! Soups are fabulous too! Their Arepa 's will make your personal top ten favorite crave food! Don 't miss this place when visiting Joliet!!!
Fantastic food! Tried the empanadas, shredded beef arepa, and the pork arepa. All were delicious. The house 'sauce ' they use is to die for! The owners are very inviting and enthusiastic and helped us navigate the menu. Can 't wait to go back. Will definitely try the dessert next time!
Amazing food great environment!!! So much flavor into everything I've tried there. Great to have an awesome cafe so close to home and not having to drive all the way to the city!
I had one of the best experiences in a long time, the food was amazing and the vibe and happy welcoming of the owners, and then they were supposed to be closed but Google had not updated their info. And even if we were 5 min after they close they opened their door and served us the beat arepas around. Teresa and husband thnx for the great customer service u had with us.
