Wasn 't really impressed in the least with our visit. Cheese dip tasted gritty like it was made from a powder mix. Food was alright.Nothing really exceptional or worth noting. Only great thing was the wait staff. Very nice, very prompt,on top of our drink refills etc. The ladies bathroom was a bit nasty. After I returned from the restroom to the table, I wasn 't very hungry anymore. I usually don 't have a problem finishing Mexican food- it 's my favorite. Although this time I didnt have a problem leaving food on my plate. Not sure if this was related but both my husband and I had intestinal distress late that night and the next day. Could have been a coincidence. But with the rest of my review of this place I doubt we will be back to this location to check to see.
Food was good. Salsa was real good and the habanero salsa was actually hot. I ordered take out and it was hot when I got home.
My son and I wanted some authentic Mexican food, it was 8pm and our favorite restaurant was closed so we chose Habaneros for the first time. My son ordered a bean, cheese, and rice burrito smothered in queso and I ordered the Molcajete w/o shrimp and pineapple but I requested for extra queso. I gave it one star because I had too. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere but the food was a waste of money. After trying my dish and my son saying he was going to heat up a burrito from the fridge because his burrito tasted old and the tortilla was hard we ended up at Sonic. I think it's fair to say neither of us will be eating there again nor will I suggest eating there to anyone.
Our waitress was awesome. The salsa was quite good. Beyond that-horrible. I ordered a chimichanga. The chicken was protruding from both ends and burnt black and crunchy. The chicken was so tough I had to saw through it with a knife which tore the chimichanga into bits. I could not chew it, so I dipped it in salsa To give it some flavor and moistness. I requested some more salsa. A woman who I suppose was the owner/manager came to my table with a picture of salsa and filled my bowl, and before she had finished Filling our bowls, she said,’ You’re welcome, you did not say thank you but I will say you’re welcome.’ It was our first visit, and definitely our last.
