It's a bit away from the city center, but a quite and nice area with great restaurants close by. I think that young people up to 40y. would enjoy the hotel the most. For me, chairs and the bed could have been a bit more comfy. We booked the breakfast which tasted great, I loved all the vegan/vegetarian options. But I think it could have been a bit more variety, as it stayed the same for the whole week. And maybe additional veggie sausage or something else would be nice.
We where shocked when we arrived and the bar/lobby was closed due to renovations. A heads up to give us the chance to book to another hotel would have been great. Also first 3 nights no working Wi-Fi, TV all down due to construction, we were woken up the first 3 nights to a man outside our window on a scaffolding drilling into our walls. The window was broken open which also took 2 days to get fixed making it very very loud.
Really lovely hotel, we are a couple and had a top floor room with a balcony and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room was clean, bed very comfortable. Regular morning room service, which we declined, breakfast was very nice with a good mix of options, the best thing was the staff at the check-in counter. They were exceptionally friendly and polite. There's a very nice casual aesthetic about the place which makes you feel welcome. The location is also perfect, with two beautiful parks nearby (we preferred the Rembrandt park), a mini supermarket for your essentials, a pizza place, a nice modern cafe with wifi also there. Only cons I can think of are: not the most soundproof room, couldn't fill bath tub for a bubble bath because of the way the plughole is fitted, but it didn't matter because we loved our stay so much. Would definitely return.
We had a great room at this hotel, nice big bathroom and safe included. The hotel is spaced over two buildings although they are connected inside. No kettle but apparently you can ask for one at reception. The only let down was an extortionate city tax at the hotel that wasn't mentioned before, I think this is decided by the city administration so not necessarily the fault of the hotel but charging people that much is really unfair. We only stayed for a few days and had to pay €11.00 per night, this is a ridiculous amount, I would never stay in Amsterdam for a long period now, we were going to book two weeks soon but €154.00 in extra tax makes it not worthwhile and I will have to book another place or country.
Stayed in Jan'23 Very helpful and friendly staff. They believe in consciously using all resources like electricity, water. It's more of a self service concept collect your towels/other items as needed. Can do a self check in, check out. Bathroom has heated tiles. They also provide moisturizer along with soap, shampoo. Tram stop is 3 4min walk. Good variety and quality in breakfast buffet.
