Hohe Dune - Juist

The location as such is spectacular. The architects did use a bit much glass, but you have a great view over the beach and the sunset. However, in terms of cuisine, the menue is ridiculously bad. Competely uninspired, with rather provincial showoff offerings such as White Pasta Bolognese , which is spaghetti bolo with cream. As unhealthy as it is tasteless. You might be able to impress the visitors of some juvenile bar in Wuppertal or Wanne Eickel with that, but for a restaurant that wants to be of some reputation, this is rather ludicrous. My wife had tuna with risotto, which came accompanied by ready made sweet chili sauce, the one that you find in Thai fast food joints close to train stations a true sign that the chef finds his own creation boring and tried to add some inspiration last minute. All in all, the restaurant is striving because of its view, but the food is completely forgettable. Tragic.

Spectacular Location and great food. The bar outside has a fantastic view over the beach, sea and village and very nice cocktails. Not the cheapest place, you pay for the view, but it's worth it. Great place for a romantic evening out.

A hot day, at 16:45 and we sat down outside at a table looking for a table in the shadow. But the service did want to place us to a table directly in front of the live music and in the sun. Reason: They wanted to prepare the table for dinner. We left without ordering anything.

Wonderful place. Excellent food. Austria/Netherlandsekreuzung. Certainly one of the best places on the island
