However, when our food arrived, I was served scrambled eggs with ham. I was both hungry and irritated. The same man who took our orders also made coffee and cooked the meals, with no additional help. Despite being overwhelmed, he managed to keep other customers satisfied. My husband returned my breakfast and requested a completely new meal, but they only removed the ham from underneath the scrambled eggs. We were not happy with the service and won't be returning.
We placed our order at 8:45 am and by 10:30 am, two meals were still missing for our table of 6. Despite only ordering scrambled eggs, French toast, and pancakes, the service was very slow. The food ended up being quite good once we received it. Surprisingly, the takeaway coffees were being made and served much more efficiently.
The food at this restaurant is superb, and it is served quickly and is delicious! The staff provides excellent customer service, and they offer flexible meal plans for University students living at Weeden Lodge. This restaurant has quickly become one of my favorite spots to dine at, as I have returned multiple times and plan to continue doing so. Every dish I have tried has exceeded my expectations.
Recently opened, to replace the student focused convenience store and now serving good coffee and great bowls of steaming hot noodles. So far I've tried both the Rare Beef Pho ($12.50) and the Chicken Rice Noodles ($10). Sure you can get better if you spend a lot more, but that is not what this place is about: simple dishes cooked well and served in a nice location at a decent price.
