We stopped in Kalkaska on our way home and stopped at the Up North Grill for a late lunch. There were only a few customers at the bar, we sat at a table nearby. Our waitress was awesome and was very attentive to our needs. We ordered a couple appetizers. The Mile High nachos were any but that. They were maybe 2 chips high. For cheese they used the liquid type. Not our favorite. Our other tizer was the wonton. They were good. Will we return? Not until we try all the our restaurants in the area.
Stopped for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Plenty of seats available and service was prompt and friendly. I enjoyed a burger and my son had the lasagna. Both were great. Building is dated and actually looked closed when we pulled in, but shouldn't be a deterrent to stopping here for a bite to eat. I would eat here again.
Food was good but service was not good at all didn't get any drink refills, didn't get the ranch I asked for, and as such I did not appreciate getting forced to tip 20% as in my opinion with the poor services the waitress didn't deserve anything the restaurant was NOT busy in the slightest
Great little bar in Kalkaska! Fantastic food and service!! Seafood stuffed mushrooms! Amazing! The French dip!!! Yea!!! Makes my mouth water just thinking about it!
