The devilled chicken was my favourite. The string hopper pilau was really good too with such great flavoured chicken curry. We live in the Bay but will definitely visit again when we are back in LA. Highly recommend!
Easy 5 stars! Sri Lankan Cuisine has become a new favorite of mine since trying Apey Kade, and Kurrypinch solidified that. The Deviled Chicken was excellent! It had an amazing blend of spice, tang and crisp. It paired well with the fried rice, which had a nice zest to it. The rotti was solid, and the sauce it came with was outstanding. I’d describe it as a sweet chutney ketchup.I didn’t eat in the restaurant, but when I walked inside to pick up my order it was nicely renovated and had a decent amount of tables.Hugh recommendation from me! I’m excited to go back!
The Service: It was such a pleasure meeting Chef Shaheen in person. I could feel his passion for his food and his creativity on his dishes not only the presentation but the taste/flavor as well. I have also chatted with the owner who is also a foodie! She is so welcoming and really wants to introduce an authentic Sri Lankan cuisine to her community. The staff is very attentive and professional. The service is absolutely wonderful. Very pleasant dining experience! The Food: My first time trying Sri Lankan cuisine. Super excited! Thanks to Chef the owner's recommendations, I got to try their traditional dishes without traveling there!Appetizers highly recommended the puff pastry with creamy potato filling. Also, the potato veggie croquettes, great vegetarian choice! Love the plating presentation!Kurry Beef Sandwich is such a perfect picnic food. Next time I will definitely pack it for my Hollywood Bowl concert. Their French roll is crunchy and the angular cucumber totally compliment the beef. BTW, love the house sauce with my curly fries!Kurrypinch String Hopper Pilau, the shrimps are so flavorful and the steamed thin rice flour noodles are so light. Totally in love with their noodles!Fried Rice Deviled Chicken, Very interested to try their version of fried rice, they use many different ingredients and spices in it. Not overpowering at all. It goes so well with the lightly fried chicken sauteed with house spicy garlic chilli sauce. Such a comfort food!Kurrypinch Grill Chicken, the most creamy mashed potatoes I have ever tried. Huge portion, big piece of chicken with kale salad on the side (the dressing is super refreshing). The Parking: Free parking spots in rear. Use the side street (next to auto shop) to the back of the restaurant. Street metered parking as well.
Delicious food. Server was helpful in recommending dishes. I highly recommend the croquettes and milk tea with ginger!
