Service was spotty, it took a long time for a server to approach us. Menu was limited: unless you want a burger and fries the only options were an expensive fish dish or a sausage pasta, plus salads. The bill for two persons including one drink each and a pita/hummus appetizer was over $90. It is impossible to get a reservation but it's not because of the food. It is the only non fast food option on campus and you are captive. I don't plan to return.
Food was fine, but the man (with a very long double Spanish surname) working the front after the UCLA WBB vs USC was terribly difficult to every guest. Later, we noticed the restaurant was not even full, but he made it clear that this job is too hard for him to do without acting like it was a real effort. Please give him another job.
Plateia never fails to please! I always have a hard time ordering, because everything I've ever had on the menu is so delicious that I just want to have it again. But this time I tried the Spaghettoro Pomodoro for the first time, and it was fabulous! The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the sauce was superb. Service as usual was excellent. Love this place!
It is extremely hard to get a reservation, especially on basketball game nights. But it is a very good place to eat and then walk directly to the game without getting back into the car. I would recommend.
Delicious and carefully prepared food. Excellent value and variety. Never had a subpar meal here. Servers are kind and very professional. A wonderful experience highly recommended!
