An AYCE hotpot place. Good service and good food. A bit noisy and atmosphere in parts of the restaurant is less than desirable but a good experience and the kids love it.
This place has a very clean, nice environment! The food was great and was good quality. Service however… different story. I’m not sure of her name but she was an older lady, very attentive of her tables but also very rude and passive aggressive. It was as if she had no patience for newcomers. My friends and I were fine with it up until the end where we all paid and two of us paid in cash. Since we were all kinda uneasy about this situation and the way she treated us, we weren’t planning on tipping much. My friends handed over their receipts and the lady reads it and rolls her eyes at them in disbelief that we tipped her low. My friend and I paid in cash with not very much left so we did not have anything to tip. We continue on and instead of her taking our trays and leaving she proceeds to yell at me saying “no tip????” and at first I was shocked and then she repeats herself louder “you’re not going to tip????” I was still trying to wrap my head around the fact that she was yelling at me so I began to search my bag to see if i had any leftover cash to give her and I did. When I gave it to her, she then takes it and walks away. No thank you or any acknowledgment of the situation.
Nice clean fresh varieties of meats and great service. Plus they have their own safe parking. Prices are reasonable. You will feel happy after the meal.
Shabuya is AYCE hot pot at a great price. Their space is huge and perfect for the massive crowd that flocks to Shabuya, so expect a wait. Join the waitlist early on the Yelp app. The place is designed to service their crowd, like AYCE KBBQ, servers are quick to the punch to get your order, fill your pots, and clean up your plates. You order up to 4 meats per round, all from the QR code menu. I loved the lamb and the top blade. While they do have some wagyu options, they are some of the leanest cuts of the cow so don’t expect much. The rest of the food and sauce can be grabbed at the buffet section where they have seafood, vegetables, banchan, and a sauce bar. I think their sauce bar was pretty limited in flavor profiles, but there was a lot of food items at the buffet. Parking is valet and the surrounding streets are usually packed with cars already. I’d love to go again, it has a casual feel that makes me want to go every week.
