Shakey's Pizza Parlor

Brought day care kiddos for a bite to eat had amazing service very thankful for all employees who made things easier with their helpful time

It makes me so sad to think about the fact that Shakey's was established in Sacramento and flourished in the valley and Bay Area alike from the 50's or 60's into the 80's, and now you have to travel quite a distance to enjoy bunch of lunch and those most delicious mojo potatoes! In any case, stopping at Shakey's for lunch on a long road trip made for a great day! The pizza, mojos, spaghetti, fried chicken, and salad bar are like I remember from 50 years ago. The fried chicken was moist and juicy and was absolutely great! What's different from my childhood is they offer mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, and macaroni and cheese. My five year old was super happy with these new options. The staff was friendly and helpful, not to mention hard working. They kept the tables cleared and cleaned and did a good job of keeping up. The dining room is similar to what I remember with family style wooden tables lined up throughout. It was definitely a great experience, very nostalgic to say the least! When I'm in the area I'll definitely be back!

Terrible Experience with Manager Alex at Shakey's I have never experienced such unprofessionalism as I did with the manager, Alex, at Shakey's. Our family member waited over 10 minutes just to order drinks. When we politely asked if anyone was available to serve us, Alex appeared with a horrible attitude. Instead of addressing our simple request, she escalated the situation unnecessarily. Alex accused us of yelling, which was completely untrue. When we asked to speak to the manager, she arrogantly claimed she was the manager and refused to serve us. Her behavior was shocking and completely unacceptable. When we mentioned that we had people in the same business, she rudely told us to go back to our business and leave her alone, stating that whatever she decided was final. Adding insult to injury, Alex involved her family members, loudly discussing the situation for everyone to hear. One of her family members even motioned for us to come over, trying to add more drama. We were simply there to buy drinks and were treated with blatant disrespect. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this Shakey's location. The service, especially from Alex, was atrocious and not worth the hassle. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

Awesome!!! Great food and the staff are super awesome! The parlor has been updated and look cool. The games were limited that's the only draw back

The best place to take my kids. The food is still delicious and the staff is SO nice!! Every time I come for the bunch a lunch the place is so clean. I appreciate the staff being so patient with the kids at the prize booth.
