かみやまの Lǐ - Kamiyama

On Wednesday, February 23, 2022, the impressive Hina Matsuri will be held at Michi no Eki Hinanosato Katsuura from this Saturday, February 26th. I couldn't wait and decided to visit early to check it out, but to my surprise, the staff told me that it was almost ready and encouraged me to come in. I paid an admission fee of 300 yen for adults and had a private viewing with only three groups. I was able to fully enjoy the Hina dolls gathered from all over the country, including the original 100-tier display with 25 tiers in each direction.

The market opens at 7 am and offers local specialties and vegetables for sale. However, what really excited me the most was the deli corner. They had handmade deli items such as squid and fish lined up early in the morning, it was fantastic. I never expected to be able to eat sweetfish sushi in the morning! The toilet is also clean! Unfortunately, the Hinamatsuri facility and Restaurant Orange were not open when I visited, so I will definitely come back again!

It's a drive from Tokushima City to Tosayamada, Kochi Prefecture~ We drove through Komatsushima City from the center of Tokushima and along the Katsuura River...and arrived in about 30 minutes at Michi no Eki Hinanosato Katsuura. This is a famous place for the spring Big Hina Matsuri held at the adjacent Doll Cultural Exchange Museum, but it was canceled this year...! However, it seems to have been streamed on HP & SNS, etc. Also, next to it on the opposite side is JA Higashitokushima Yokotenichi, a so-called direct sales market, where fresh vegetables, fruits & flowers, and processed products are lined up, but we found something unique here...Katsuura River's natural ayu sushi. In addition to souvenir shops, Cafe Orange, udon restaurant Handmade Udon Miyako-ya, and an information center are housed in the central building...and we found something unique in the souvenir shop, "Dinosaur Soda."
