Was expecting more. Not exactly a true KC BBQ experience. Server manager seemed irritated with our need for allergen ingredient information; or maybe something happened prior to our arrival bc the manager also dropped the F bomb within earshot of our 10 12 yrs old kids and adjusted himself while in conversation with a server. 4 out of 6 silverware sets had food pieces still stuck to the spoon/fork. Meat portions were small for the cost. For $12 the burnt ends were tasty but barely filled half the small plate; I've spent less and gotten more at many other BBQ restaurants. The $14 nachos seemed to be a good choice to split: the menu said tortilla chips, nacho cheese, shredded pork, sour cream and chives, but came out with chips, thinned Queso Blanco that cooled quickly and hardened, sour cream, chives (ordered on side), jalapenos, and a very small amount of shredded pork it didn't look very appetizing. Thankfully the nachos were comped. The Bahama Mama drink, Kids cheeseburger and fries were well received.
We had a large group and the servers did awesome! Food was great!
Fodd was great as always. Waiter was very nice and attentive.
I ordered the Burnt Ends Platter. The price was $15.95 for lunch. It included, Brisket Burnt Ends, Sausage, Cheesy Corn and lightly toasted white bread. The sausage was good, but not exceptional. The temperature of the sausage needed to be a little warmer. Portion size was generous. 7 chunks of sausage and 5 large chunks of burnt ends. The Burnt Ends were all meat. What little fat that was on them was completely rendered and not fatty. Good flavor. Perfect texture. Cheesy corn was great. Buttery, cheesy and a little to perfectly creamy. The original sauce is excellent. The hot sauce was even better. Just what you think of for KC BBQ sauce. Very satisfying meal. Plenty of food and good quality.
