The innovative and modern architecture of the building attracts visitors to its magic and the comfortable seats in the hall invite you to stay. The varied program offers a wide range of films and events that you rarely find. Whether current blockbuster or sophisticated film art, there is something for everyone. The sound and image quality is excellent and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The ZKM Filmpalast is definitely a highlight in Karlsruhe and deserves 5 stars from me!
Unfortunately bad experience made caution ELTERN! You cannot enter here with your children if they do not meet the FSK (voluntary self-control) limit. Voluntary and parental care are strictly agreed. In addition, very unfriendly staff!
Relatively expensive what the snacks go, but the cards are cheaper when you go under the week, In the building there are various restaurants and snacks, including an Asian with everything you eat buffet, an American diner and a pizza shop. There is also an Imax cinema room. The cinema with the largest selection of films and food in Karlsruhe is worth it despite the higher price.

I have rarely been in a cinema where demands and performance are so different. The prices are high, but would be justified, because the technology is up-to-date, the seats are comfortable and the acoustics are good. – Unfortunately, the cinema operator does not manage to keep his house clean enough. Trash where to look: empty colabecher, popcorn scattered everywhere, every step you have to look at the floor to avoid slipping on anything. The staff seems to be completely unaffected by the waste chaos; Nowhere are Vandalen addressed and asked to lift their garbage or use waste buckets. So you wade through the ****, slip on the beverage caps in the half-dark and prefer to wait next time until the films run into well-run cinemas – because there are also those in Karlsruhe.
